<p>Kitchen Studio, located at 1096 Canyon Del Rey Blvd. in Seaside, will host a<strong> Fabulous Fashion Open House</strong> Friday benefit for the Yellow Brick Road Benefit Shop on Friday, August 27th from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Stop by and enjoy shopping for fabulous women’s clothing, accessories and jewelry.  Enjoy small bites by Patios2 and wine from Ventana Vineyards.   There is a minimum $10 dollar donation to attend which will benefit Yellow Brick Road Benefit Shop.  In addition, ‘it’s a chance to clean out your closet and  donate your gently used garments for Otter Outfitters a Dress For Success Program through California State University, Monterey Bay Women’s Leadership Council. <p><strong>Facts about the Food Bank for Monterey County</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> An  estimated 88,700 different people are now served annually by the Food  Bank for Monterey County—one-fifth of Monterey County’s population.</li>
<li>Every  week the Food Bank serves approximately 10,800 people</li>
<li>During  December 2009, the Emergency Food Assistance Program reached its highest  level: 9,259 families served. Over the past three months, this program  served 21,879 families. During the same timeframe in 2008, the Food Bank  served 17,178 families; this represents an increase of 27%.</li>
<li>Nearly  85% of the households served are families with children</li>
<li>The Food Bank  distributes 6 million pounds of food</li>
<li>Nearly 90 nonprofit agencies  including neighborhood food pantries, children’s program s, senior  centers, and residential program s receive food from the Food Bank</li>
